WEDDING CELEBRATIONS: CHRISTINE & EUGENE
Christine and Eugene first met when they were children as their parents were friends. They drifted apart growing up however one night, they randomly bumped into each other and found love. Eugene came in and brought his mum's ring as well as Christine's mum's ring and sapphire. We had the pleasure of remodelling these pieces into a one-of-a-kind engagement and wedding rings. They got married back in April with in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and friends with the beautiful South Coast as the backdrop. Christine and Eugene walked us down memory lane as they looked back on their big day.
HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?
Eugene and I were originally introduced when we were children as our parents were friends! I had a huge crush on him when we were under the age of 10! And I definitely let him know haha! As we grew up we drifted naturally until I was with Eugenes mum one night and she was trying to set me and Eugene up… the following weekend we actually bumped into each other out randomly, and the rest is history. When it comes to timing it would seem the Universe was definitely on our side.
WHERE & WHEN DID YOU GET MARRIED - TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY?
We were married 21/4/22 along the cliff tops down the south coast overlooking the ocean in an intimate setting with our immediate family. Eugene and I are not traditional, we wanted to wake up together and get ready together on the day of our wedding. The main focus was doing things our way and doing things we enjoyed. We are fun, carefree and like to go with the flow so that is exactly what we did! We had originally planned to elope overseas but covid spoiled our Las Vegas wedding, however it was just meant to be, we loved sharing our moment with our parents and siblings! It was a day truly about us, in every way! We spent the remaining of the day together doing things we loved captured by our photographers Oh Wild!
The following day we had a lunch with the rest of our closest friends and family, again casual just like Eug and I like things!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING RINGS. WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU? WHAT ARE YOU FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE?
The whole process of having our rings custom made from Cassandra Mamone was extremely pleasant. Not only was Veronica so helpful but made the whole process easy and stress free. I gave her a date that we would need the rings by and not only did they have them done on time but a couple weeks earlier.
Obviously we love the whole style and look of the finished product but most of all the sentimental value of the rings. Having a ring from her mother and my mother melted down and custom made into one ring really does make it a meaningful engagement ring and wedding ring. (The sapphire was Christines mums also). The ‘Forever Love’ name is so fitting.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE WEDDING DAY?
The ceremony was intimate, funny and we had shared personal vowels which made the ceremony even more special. Following the ceremony we spent the day just us two with our photographers/videographers Oh Wild! Doing things we loved including having burgers for dinner (my pregnancy craving and Eugs favourite food)! The whole day was special as it was just the way we wanted… About us!
WHAT ARE YOU PLANS FOR YOUR HONEYMOON?
Still in the plans at the moment as we are expecting our first little bubba in August, we have a small trip planned next week to Country Victoria and hope to venture overseas early next year.
