Custom Piece Of The Month: Summer Romance
When it comes to finding the right engagement ring, classic rings have been taking over 2018.
The most popular diamond shape has certainly been the Oval.
This month's piece is a breathtaking Oval centre engagement ring.
A dreamy beach holiday leads to a surprise engagement for our clients, Dylan and Georgia.
Dylan opted for our stunning Summer Romance ring designed as part of our California Sunset collection.
Made in 18ct white gold this engagement ring features an oval diamond set with four cat claws, small diamonds pave` set around the centre diamond, finished off with a fancy milgrain edge.
Dylan and Georgia have shared their engagement story with us and a little about creating the perfect engagement ring.
How did you both meet?
Georgia and I met in early January of 2016 at 2KW, a popular rooftop bar in the Adelaide CBD.
We were both out with a group of friends and we struck up a conversation at the bar.
Share with us your engagement story.
Georgia and I were both on annual leave during May and we organised to go on a week-long holiday to Cairns.
I already had the ring and thought North Queensland would be the perfect place to propose.
On the 15th of May, Georgia and I went on a day trip, heading north of Palm Cove where we were staying.
We had gone to Mossman Gorge and the Daintree Rainforest and then the last stop was the beach at Cape Tribulation.
Cape Tribulation beach was busy with people so my back up plan was Myall Beach, which is 300 metres from Cape Tribulation beach.
Not one person was at Myall Beach and it was the perfect time of the day.
I picked a spot to stop on the sand and I said to Georgia that I would like to take a 'selfie'. I set up the camera and began recording without Georgia knowing.
I began a countdown and stood to wait with Georgia as she believed it was a timer counting down on the camera.
The camera went 3, 2, 1 and I got down on one knee and asked Georgia to marry me.
Her reaction was priceless as she had absolutely no idea.
"SHE SAID YES!"
Tell us all about the details of your ring, what was the process like for you, what are your favourite aspects of the piece?
I really like the style of the plain band with a fine milgrain edge halo, with little diamonds that Cassandra had suggested.
The colourless Oval diamond sitting in the middle makes for a perfect-looking ring.
Do you have any wedding plans yet?
We are currently looking at wedding venues and gathering ideas on what type/style of wedding we would like to have.
No date has been set yet but we're both looking to enjoy our engagement until the time comes.
