Meet our feature couple, Liz and Adam.
Adam surprised Liz with a beautiful and romantic proposal at home back in June.
Wanting to find a forever a piece for Liz, Adam asked Cassandra to design a unique and timeless engagement ring.
Cassandra created a stunning 18ct white gold Oval diamond ring inspired by our Oval Elegance.
The ring is set in a four-claw setting with bead set diamonds on each side of the ring.
We caught up with Adam and Liz as they share with us their love story and ring design process with Cassandra.

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?
We met through close mutual friends who had just started dating at the time.
We would see each other at social events but it wasn’t until 5 years later at the Melbourne Cup 2018 that we started dating.
The rest is history!
WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT PIECE?
I’ve known Cassandra for many years and had no doubt that she would be able to create a unique and timeless engagement ring.
Her high-quality diamonds and workmanship are what makes her the best in the business.

I planned to pop the question on Liz’s birthday.
It started with a homecooked 4 courses meal of all Liz’s favourite foods, followed by a spa bath where she could completely relax.
While she was in the spa upstairs, I created a path made up of rose petals and candles starting from the bottom of the staircase leading into the living room where all the blinds were closed, hiding the big surprise that was in the backyard.
I had placed Liz’s phone and a blindfold at the end of the path.
Once Liz had finished her spa, she made her way downstairs to find what I had been planning for 6 months.
I was waiting for her outside where she called me unsure of what was happening.
I asked her to place the blindfold on and wait for me to come and get her.
I led her to the alfresco area where we were surrounded with rose petals, fairy lights, candles and flowers, this is when I asked her to remove the blindfold.
In front of her were the words
“MARRY ME”
in illuminated letters.
When she was out of shock and finally turned around to look at me, down on one knee is when I asked her to marry me.
TELL US ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING, WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU, WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE?
The ring is an 18ct white gold band with an Oval diamond.
It is set with four cat claws, the sides of the setting are bead-set with 1/2 point diamonds.
1.5 point diamonds are half-set on the band in a shared claw setting.
The process was extremely easy. I explained to Cass what I was after and showed her some example photos.
I trusted Cass to design the finer details and she exceeded my expectations.
My favourite aspects of this piece are that it is so clear, bright and sparkly that it hurts your eyes to look at.
DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS YET?
We plan to get married in December 2021 with all of our closest family and friends.
We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone.
