Oh So Fine

The engagement ring may be the showstopper but the wedding band deserves equal attention.

We had the pleasure of creating this ring for our latest bride, Stef. The Oh So Fine fine band sits perfectly with Stef's solitaire engagement ring.

For the groom, Gio, we designed a solid 18ct yellow gold polished band.

We caught up with Stef and Gio post-wedding, as they shared their special day with us and a little about their wedding bands.

How did you both meet?

We met when we were 16 at a friend's birthday party. We have been together for 9 years!

Where and when did you get married - tell us a little bit about your special day?

Our wedding was a few months ago on the 10th of March 2018. It was the most magical and beautiful day of our lives.

We were married at the St Francis Xavier Cathedral and our reception was at the National Wine Centre. Our day was everything we dreamed of and more.

We always wanted our wedding to be full of love and a big party and that's exactly what it was!

The weather was warm and the espresso martinis were flowing.

Tell us about your wedding rings. What drew you to Cassandra Mamone for the design of your rings?

I first saw Cassandra's ring on Instagram and was immediately drawn to them - they were all so stunning!

As I looked through her page I immediately knew we would love for Cassandra to design our wedding rings and showed Gio.

As soon as we met Cassandra we felt so comfortable and excited, she is full of life and has so many lovely designs to look at and get ideas.

Cassandra made the whole process of designing our rings so easy and enjoyable.

My wedding band is the Oh So Fine ring with diamonds full set in white gold - it's so gorgeous and dainty and Gio's band is solid 18ct yellow gold. They are perfect!

What was your highlight of the day?

There were so many highlights but I think one would be seeing each other for the first time at the altar, we were both so excited and filled with so much emotion.

It's such a surreal feeling! Our first dance was so special, both Gio and I felt like we were the only two people in the room.

The speeches were also very beautiful and emotional. I remember smiling and laughing the whole day.

Where did you get your wedding dress and other accessories?

I found my wedding dress at Jenny & Jerry's Bridal House. It is a Martina Liana dress.

I went with my mum to try on some dresses, and it was one of the first dresses I tried on!

It was so funny when the lady showed it to me and I said "hmm, not really me but I will try it anyway" and as soon as I put it on, I was in love with it and knew it was the one!

I also wore my mum's veil which she wore on her wedding day over 30 years ago.
