Wedding Celebrations: Kristen & Ryan
We first featured Ryan and Kristen back in March 2018 for their engagement story and showcased Kristen's 18ct rose gold Tante Amore engagement ring.
This time around, we put the spotlight on their stunning intimate wedding.
Their wedding took place on December 8th 2018 at a beautiful winery, Magpie Springs in Hope Forrest here in South Australia.
Cassandra had the pleasure of designing both wedding bands - a rose gold diamond eternity band for the bride and a mix of brushed rose gold and white gold for him.
As their first wedding anniversary is approaching, Kristen and Ryan looked back on their special day.
Where & when did you get married - tell us a little bit about your special day?
We were married on the 8th December 2018 at a beautiful unique boutique winery, Magpie Springs located South of Adelaide in Hope Forrest.
Our day was everything we had ever dreamed of, the happiest day of our lives saying our 'I do's' in the tranquil setting surrounded by all our family and friends.
We had some seriously amazing suppliers which made our day extra special, from florist Carolyn from Sweet Nothings Flowers arranging standout bouquets and our stunning arbour, Little Vintage Bar and Van who served drinks from the cutest vintage caravan and Ash Gale our outstanding musician setting the vibes with his acoustic magic.
So much love in the air with all the feels we couldn't have asked for a better celebration.
Tell us about your wedding rings. What was the process like for you?
Designing and planning our wedding bands was too easy.
Isn't Cassandra just a dream to work with. We had just one appointment to go through and choose what we wanted.
We were both really happy with our decisions and Cass just made the whole process so easy.
What was your favourite part of the wedding day? Any particular highlights?
It's hard to choose just one favourite part of our wedding day, the whole day was so amazing but we definitely had a really fun time having photos with our bridal party.
Travis from Travis and Benny Weddings definitely lifted the mood with some 'blue steel' poses and a few funny pose combinations involving the groom and groomsmen.
We played the shoe game toward the end of the evening, we were asked a selection of questions and we had to answer with our shoes choosing either the bride or groom.
Eg. who has the craziest family, it was decided that Ryan did 😛.
This provided plenty of laughs, and of course all the groovers on the dance floor providing some entertainment dancing late into the night.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We, unfortunately, had to put the honeymoon on hold for a few months but on our 10 year anniversary in June,
Ryan surprised me with a honeymoon that he had planned and organised the whole thing without me.
All I knew was that I was going to Thailand.
On the 4th of September, we set off for the long-awaited honeymoon.
Each day Ryan had activities and day trips booked and I didn't find out what I was doing or where I was going until I was at the destination.
We stayed at the Centara Blue Marine Resort for a week before another surprise and a massive upgrade to The Shores in Katathani which was complete luxury with our own private villa with the most incredible views.
It was the most amazing trip away taking a break from reality and celebrating our love.
Thank you for sharing your wedding celebrations with us!
