Engagement Feature: Roslyn & Foster

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?

We met at our church and started to work together through various dance and creative items.

We’ve been in fake marriages and fake relationships for creative items way before we even became a thing or even liked each other!

And here we are today getting married for real!

WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT PIECE?

We really loved the idea of creating a unique and custom piece that was special to us.

When we discovered Cassandra’s pieces, we discovered how incredibly detailed and dedicated she was at making one of the most important pieces that a girl can ever have on her hand!

Foster was supposed to pick me up for a “work dinner” but when I open the door it wasn’t him standing there, it was my two best friends.

They were holding two red dresses and playing “I can’t help falling in love by Kina Gratis”

I straight away knew that this was it! This was the moment I’ve been waiting for my whole life and it was finally here!

My best friends got me all dressed up and put me in a cute little red dress to wear.

They then started driving me to an unknown location in the hills.

They stopped in this driveway of an estate and my girlfriends gave me this handwritten letter from Foster describing how nervous/excited he is to see me and how much he loves me.

I just couldn’t wait to see him! The girls then drove me down the driveway and told me to close my eyes.

They said once I’m ready, get out of the car and follow the path.

I calmed myself and thought when I get out of this car I won’t be Foster’s girlfriend anymore, I will be his fiancé and then his wife!!

When I got out of the car I could see this massive path lined with vases and candles.

Along the path was photos of us that we took with our very good friend framed and sitting on easels and beautiful love songs playing.

As I walked down this path, already crying and I could see Foster, down a set of stairs lined with rose petals and candles.

He was standing under a beautifully lit gazebo covered in vine and lights. He had organised our wedding photographers to be there to take photos and video of this moment.

When I finally got to him, I was so nervous but then it all melted away when he grabbed my hand and I could see a small tear in his eyes.

He spoke about how much he loves me and how he can’t imagine his life without me. Again I was blubbering by this point.

After he poured his heart out to me, he bent down on one knee and asked:

“WILL YOU MARRY ME”

Of course, my answer was yes!

Our friends and family were watching on a balcony from a distance and gave us the biggest cheer. It was so sweet to have them a part of our special moment.

We took a few more photos of us and of course, the gorgeous ring!

It was such a special moment that we will never forget, and the fact that Cassandra Mamone made our ring made it even more special!

TELL US ALL ABOUT YOUR RING, WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU AND WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE?

We wanted to go with a very simple and classic ring. We loved the oval shape for the diamond and wanted a thin band.

Veronica was the sweetest person to work with and she helped me decide what would look best for my hand and what would be a good “timeless” look.

My favourite part about the ring is how elegant it looks, the knife-edge band really compliments the diamond shape and allows that to shine.

Also, I was so stuck with whether to go with rose gold or yellow gold and Veronica helped me decide in seeing how beautiful and romantic rose gold can be!

I only had one appointment with Veronica and decided on our final design.

She then took my design and started the process with Foster, she was so kind and detailed throughout the whole process with him and made sure he had options to choose from when it came to price and also the particular diamond.

They made sure he was apart of every step of the way!

We love telling people that it was created by Cassandra and would recommend them to anyone!

DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS YET?

Haha yes! We actually booked our wedding venue before we got engaged, we knew it was the perfect place for us and couldn’t wait.

We will be getting married at ALRU Farm November this year.

I’ll be coming back to Cassandra for my wedding band and I cannot wait to work with them again!
