Wedding Celebrations: Caitlin & Mark

What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than to celebrate a beautiful union.

Meet Mark and Caitlin Boros, as they share their dreamy nuptials.

Mark and Caitlin's wedding journey began on an overseas trip to New York. While over there, Mark had a surprise proposal for Caitlin by the iconic Bow Bridge in the middle of Central Park.

We had the absolute pleasure of designing Caitlin's beautiful engagement ring, featuring a round brilliant diamond with a diamond halo.

We then created an elegant wedding band in platinum and diamonds which complimented Caitlin's ring perfectly. For Mark, we kept it classic with a platinum band.

In March of 2017, the pair tied the knot on a beautiful beach in Boracay, the Philippines.

Scroll below for a glimpse of their beautiful wedding day.

How did you both meet?

We met through family friends and started getting to know each other better when we joined a mixed basketball team.

After six months of courting and many dinner dates and coffee catch ups later, we made it official. On our first overseas trip together to the US, Mark popped the question in Central Park, New York and we have never looked back.

Where and when did you get married - tell us a little bit about your special day?

We got married in the Philippines on the beautiful island of Boracay on March 5th, 2017.

We had always wanted a destination wedding and Boracay ticked all the boxes with its breathtaking scenery, amazing resort and five-star food.

It was a small wedding comprising of 50 of our closest family and friends most of whom made their way from Adelaide.

Everything went off without a hitch with great thanks to our Wedding Coordinator, the popular Amanda Tirol and her dedicated team from Boracay Weddings.

Staff at the ASYA Premier Suites made us feel special from the moment we set foot on the island.

Tell us about your wedding rings.

We chose Cassandra Mamone for our wedding rings as we followed her on social media for a while and loved her work. The engagement ring she made Caitlin was stunning and we knew we wanted the same results for our wedding bands.

She went above and beyond to make our whole experience one to remember. From the initial ring designs, sizing and fast turn around to delivery.

Caitlin's wedding band complements her engagement ring perfectly, as both are made of platinum and white diamonds with similar design features.

I opted for a simple, platinum wedding band with milgrain design inclusions.

All of our rings were an expression of simplicity, style and class without showing off too much bling and Cass definitely delivered beyond our expectations.

What was your highlight of the day?

The highlight of the day was the wedding ceremony on the beach against a sunset backdrop. To have our closest friends and family with us made for some unforgettable memories.

We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Where did you get your wedding dress and other accessories?

My wedding dress was custom made by the amazing Sok from Malachi Empire. I knew that I wanted a dress that had beautiful lace work but wanted to make sure that it wouldn't be too much for a beach wedding or have a gown that was too heavy or thick as the weather in the Philippines is humid.

The dress was perfect and the colour allowed it to stand out from the sandy beach setting without being over the top. The only jewellery I opted for were simple drop earrings by Samantha Wills as I wanted the dress to be more of a statement piece and my shoes were plain white wedges by Glamour Puss.
