Engagement Feature: Kelsey & Daniel
Beautiful couple Daniel and Kelsey met 5 years ago, fast forward to today they are engaged to be married. Both Danny and Kelsey came to Cassandra Mamone looking for the perfect forever ring.
Daniel proposed on Kelsey's birthday with our stunning 18ct rose gold Cushion engagement ring design featuring a colourless cushion and fancy edge halo with our signature milgrain edge.
They have shared with us their love and proposal story and take us through their engagement ring process.

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?
DANNY:
We met at a university College Event in early 2015. We were both the Treasurers of our respective college residential committees, so that was a good ice breaker.
We got to chatting on the day and I thought things were going really well...apparently Kelsey didn't!! Things were off to a rocky start, and nothing eventuated from that first encounter.
Fast forward a few months and we ran into each other again at a mutual friend's 21st birthday party. We talked again that night, and a couple of days later Kelsey slid into my DM's. I don't think we have stopped talking since - who knew this would be the start of the happiest journey of our lives.
KELSEY:
He will never let me forget that I was not at all interested the first time we met - I am so glad I changed my mind!
WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT PIECE?
KELSEY:
I don't think there was ever another option. Ever since I came across Cassandra Mamone on Instagram a couple of years ago, I knew that I wanted a CM engagement ring. I loved the idea of being able to design something that was uniquely ours!
DANNY:
Kelsey had been sending me some not so subtle hints about CM engagement rings for a solid couple of years!

And that is the moment Danny dropped his knee in the middle of our living room and asked me to be his wife.
The next minute was a bit of a blur, but after I stopped jumping around I finally said YES!
We then spend the rest of the day celebrating our engagement and my birthday together and sharing our exciting news with our loved ones!
To make the whole weekend even more special, Danny's whole family were coming over the next day so we were able to tell them all together in person, which was really special!
And the icing on the cake, to our absolute shock my mum, stepdad and sister drove for 5 hours to turn up on our doorstep and surprise us! Such a whirlwind of a weekend and we wouldn't have had it any other way!
DANNY:
It really was the perfect weekend! I knew that Kelsey didn't want a big public proposal, so I had to brainstorm something that encapsulated us as a couple. It went better that I ever could have imagined!
TELL US ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING, WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU, WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE?
We were both really nervous but excited ahead of our first appointment with Veronica, but she made the process so easy. We attended the initial appointment together, so we both got to experience the initial design process and make all the key decisions together. Veronica talked us through all of the options and listened to our million questions!
DANNY:
After the initial appointment, that's where Kelsey's input stopped. Veronica worked with me to sort out the final details. I loved that we got to design a ring together that I knew she would absolutely love, but that she never saw it before I was down on one knee. The look on her face when she saw the ring for the first time is something I will never forget.
KELSEY:
The ring is a beautiful cushion cut diamond surrounded by a fancy, milgrain edge halo. It is rose gold, and I absolutely love the unique aspect of the milgrain edge. I cannot stop staring at it, and I cannot wait to wear this on my left hand for the rest of my life. It is more beautiful than I ever could have imagined!
DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS YET?
We plan to get married in 2022 and cannot wait to share the special day with our closest family and friends!
