ENGAGEMENT FEATURE: TANNIKA & RICKY

Tannika sashayed her way into Ricky's heart eight years ago when they first met at a local dance studio where he was teaching and she was a student. Ricky worked with Cassandra Mamone and the design team to create the perfect rose gold Oval Elegance engagement ring for his future fiancé.

HOW DID YOU FIRST MEET? 

We met at dance school and fell in love after only a few group events where we realised we shared much in common.

After waiting a long 8 years, Ricky decided that it was time to finally propose. Lucky for me, my birthstone is a diamond. My best friend, Zoe, arranged to take me out for dinner the night before my birthday where Ricky would join us. Before dinner, Zoe thoughtfully organised for us to get a manicure during the day.

Dinner was at Henley Beach but we were 'early' so Zoe suggested we go for a walk along the jetty. As we reached the end of the jetty, Ricky had pulled me aside and popped the question. Zoe was there to capture the moment along with the most perfect sunset. I was caught by surprise that the both of them worked together to pull this off. We celebrated that night with a delicious dinner and some sparkling wine.

WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT PIECE? 

Ricky had known Cassandra from Art school and had gifted Tannika a beautiful pair of Cassandra Mamone earrings and matching ring set. Tannika fell in love with Cassandra's designs and Ricky knew that one day he wanted Cassandra to design her engagement ring. 

TELL US ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING, WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU, WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF PIECE?

From our initial meeting, Cass was super excited to be part of our story. I had a feeling that Tannika liked the oval style and rose gold so Cass and I discussed different styles and options for the perfect ring. For me, I love the diamond, its clarity and how elegant the setting is.

DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS YET?

Not as yet. We are hoping for some time in 2023.
