MY WEDDING DIARY #2: A SPECIAL FIRST LOOK AT MY WEDDING BAND

Designing engagement rings is something I’ve done for years, but designing my own? That was a completely different experience.

I’ve actually known for a while that I wanted a marquise. There’s something about its length, elegance, and softness that always felt right to me. It’s classic, but there’s a quiet confidence to it. So I started there.

From that point, everything else fell into place. I decided on a three-stone setting—clean, timeless, balanced—and paired the marquise with matching epaulettes. I love how the geometry of the epaulettes adds structure and a little edge without taking away from the romance of the marquise.

Fun fact: The epaulette cut is a rare one, often associated with vintage and Art Deco eras, and it’s a detail I’ve always been drawn to. It brings a beautiful energy to the piece, unexpected and refined.

While the engagement ring is the star, I’m also designing a few wedding bands to complement it.

And… you’re the first to know:

My first wedding ring is the platinum 3mm Memory Ring with C + C engraving for Cassandra + Charlie.

It’s simple, strong, meaningful—and it’s one of our most loved designs for a reason. I knew I wanted to include it when we finalised the engagement ring.

I’ll be stacking a couple of other bands too—each one designed to add something special without ever overshadowing the ring that started it all. I’ve always believed your bands should layer meaning as much as style.

Designing this for myself has been emotional in ways I didn’t expect—but it’s also deepened my love for what I do. There’s something powerful about creating a piece that holds not just beauty, but story.

Our wedding is just around the corner, and as we move closer to that moment, I’m only taking on a select number of bespoke consultations. If you’re dreaming about your own forever piece, I’d love to help bring it to life.
