In conjunctionĀ with International Women's Day, we're choosing to celebrate our community of women and their sentimental jewellery piece with ourĀ 'Real Women, Real Pieces'Ā campaign. What better way to do so than to spotlight two incredible women who have forged their own path. Meet Bel Gray, mother of three and business owner. We sat down withĀ BelĀ to chat about her first jewellery memory and put the spotlight on her stunning piece, Pear Engagement Ring.Ā
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF
So my name is Annabel Gray. I'm a very proud mother of three beautiful babies, Aston, Clementine and Willow. And I run an online children's boutique called
Mini Clem, but I've had
Mini Clem for almost three years now. I was inspired by my babies to start it and just bring together a collection of really timeless, beautiful children's essentials.
DESCRIBE YOUR JEWELLERY STYLE.
My jewellery style, I would say is probably quite minimal, classic and chic.
WHAT IS YOUR FIRST JEWELLERY MEMORY?
My first jewellery memory was having a beautiful wooden jewellery box that my grandmother gave me, and it was filled with all kinds of costume jewellery that belonged to her and my great-grandmother, and it was my absolute prize possession and I took it everywhere with me.
WHY DO YOU LOVE YOUR CASSANDRA MAMONE PIECES?
So I'm very lucky. I've got several Cassandra pieces. My first one was my beautiful engagement ring. I love my engagement ring because it is exactly how I always pictured it would be. I remember looking at it for the first time I saw it and thinking, how did you know? But my husband knew because I made notes and he showed Cassandra and she somehow made it exactly how I dreamed it would be, and it's beautiful.Ā Obviously that was a very special time of my life. And then I have the complementaryĀ wedding band. And for my one year anniversary, she made me a beautiful eternity ring. And then I also have several pairs of earrings, including the beautiful earrings that I wore on my wedding day that she custom made for me.
