WEDDING CELEBRATIONS: ALEXANDRA & ALEC

Ali and Alec had a beautiful Autumn wedding at Gomersal Wines back in April 2023. They both chose our Memory Rings as their wedding bands personalise with special engraving and diamonds.

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?

We matched on Tinder a week into lockdown and since all coffee shops / restaurants were closed we resorted to a first date being a hike up Anstley's Hill. Sounds creepy but turned out great.

WHERE & WHEN DID YOU GET MARRIED - TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY.

We got married on the 21st of April 2023 at Gomersal Wines. We really wanted our day to be about us and the love that we have for one another. So we made it all about us. We had no bridal party, no sit down, very little formalities and we spent the entire day together from about 10:30 in the morning. We danced all night, had pizza and just shared in the love with those who are our closest family and friends.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING RINGS. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE?

My engagement was from G.W Cox and I really just wanted something unique and a bit different but still with elegance. However as soon as I saw memory bands from Cassandra Mamone I was so in love I needed it for my wedding band. Alec just wanted to feel special so he wanted diamonds but not too many diamonds. We wanted to incorporate our date and on the inside we have a little A with a heart for each other. The process at CM was so incredibly easy. We could have stayed there and spoke to Adele all day. We loved everything CM had to offer but also I could have easily chosen every single ring as a wedding band because they are all stunning.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE WEDDING DAY?

Our ceremony would be a favourite part for sure. We had my (Ali's) brother do our ceremony and it was so funny & really just told the story of us as well as being so personal since he knew everyone and us so well. It was the best emotional ceremony but perfect.

ANY PARTICULAR HIGHLIGHTS?

The whole day could not have been better really. It was extremely calm and relaxing. All our vendors were incredible! My family was going through an incredibly tough time with my dad coming down with sudden illness and not being able to attend so the whole family really needed some light and that's exactly what our day was.
