Wedding Celebrations: Tessa & Jason

We first featured Tessa and Jason back in 2018 when Jason proposed with a Cushion Diamond Engagement Ring.

Fast forward two years later, the pair recently tied the knot back in December 2019.

We were honoured to work with them again to create their wedding bands.

For her, Tessa chose a Baguette Diamond Ring and for him, Jason picked out a wide rose gold band with a polished bevelled edge.

Here's a sneak peek into their magical day.

Where & where did you get married - tell us a little bit about your special day?

From the beginning, we knew we didn't want your usual wedding venue.

We spent a long time looking at alternative venus and feel in love with Jura House, a working cattle farm in Woodside.

We did the ceremony out in the field and the reception on the grass of the estate while having the beautiful views as the backdrop the whole time.

The venue was a perfect fit for us, we loved having the freedom to create a space that reflected us and highlighted our love of getting out and exploring the world together.

On December 14th 2019, we got married in front of 50 guests, including only our immediate family and our closest friends.

Our celebrant, Lucy Gransbury, was a childhood friend, and created the perfect personalised ceremony recounting stories of our relationship and had us laughing between our tears of happiness.

"The venue was a perfect fit for us, we loved having the freedom to create a space that reflected us and highlighted our love of getting out and exploring the world together."

Tell us about your engagement ring and wedding rings. What was the process like for you? What are your favourite aspects of the piece?

Jason proposed with a plain rose gold band, knowing too well that I wanted to see Cassandra and to design my own ring.

When I visited Cassandra to start designing my engagement ring, I was instantly drawn to her rose gold Cushion Diamond Engagement Ring with a diamond halo and a fancy milgrain edge.

For my wedding band, I decided to go with the Baguette Diamond Ring.

Jason's wedding band is a wide rose gold band with a matte middle and polished bevelled edge.

I love that we both have rose gold rings and that Jason was brave enough to go with it.

Choosing the engagement and then wedding rings with Cassie was simple and always involved many laughs.

Cass makes the whole experience easy and has great knowledge to help out with any questions.

We are extremely lucky to call Cassandra a good friend and our rings mean even more to us knowing Cassandra designed them.

What was your favourite part of the wedding day? Any particular highlights?

We can find something special in almost every aspect of our day.

For the ceremony, it was so special to have our three beautiful nieces walk down the aisle as flower girls to the song "You Are My Sunshine" which my mum sang to me as a child.

I will never forget the overwhelming feeling of standing at the arbour, in front of everyone that we love and having Jason by my side.

When it came to reading out personal vows, I couldn't hold back the tears.

Our intimate guest list allowed us to spend time and celebrate with everyone.

We are also happy we put in the effort to learn our first dance.

We were a little nervous but were very impressed in ourselves for how well we pulled it off.

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

We live in Melbourne thus we forewent the honeymoon, and instead spent Christmas with our families.

We plan on travelling a trip overseas for 2021 for an extended holiday/honeymoon.

Thank you for sharing your magical day with us.
