ENGAGEMENT FEATURE: EMMA & JAMES
How did you both meet?
We met 7 years ago at a mutual friends Grand Final party. We had always been in similar social circles but had never met. It was a couple of months later on another night out when sparks flew.. and the rest is history.
What drew you to Cassandra Mamone for the design of your engagement piece?
James: I had no idea where to start but one of my best mates directed me to Cassandra. After a little research I knew that she used high quality diamonds and I felt that Cassandra would be the perfect person to design something truly special for Emma.
Share with us your engagement story.
Emma: I had no idea it was coming. It was the last day of the school term and I opened the front door to find the house filled with flowers and candles and James on one knee. He had cameras set up around the house to capture the moment. It was truly beautiful. I was then on school holidays where we lived our best lives wining and dining for three weeks straight! It was perfect.
Tell us all about the details of your ring, what was the process like for you, what are your favourite aspects of the piece?
James: I knew I wanted to design something unique. I went to Cassandra with a couple of ideas for the ring and she helped me to refine my ideas and make something beautiful for Emma. The ring turned out better than I could have imagined. It is elegant and whimsical and suits both our tastes perfectly. The process was easy and Cassandra's ability to calm my nerves and proceed with confidence was greatly appreciated. We get so many comments on the ring and love seeing people reactions when they first see it.
Do you have any wedding plans yet?
We have just locked in mid-January 2022! We are having an intimate 50-person wedding at a venue that is very special to us. Then extending the festivities with a party a few weeks later to celebrate with the extended family and friends.
