ENGAGEMENT FEATURE: LOUISE + MACAULEY
WHEN DID YOU MEET?
We met almost 10 years ago now in our home town (both from regional SA). We started dating when I was in high school and Macauley was working as an apprentice in his trade. We were both living in the country for several years before we moved to Adelaide together in 2019.
WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT RING?
I think Macauley got the hint that my favourite jeweller was Cassandra Mamone from me sending him Instagram photos of all the beautiful rings (haha), then he said when he decided to actually start looking into rings he already knew it had to be created by the team at Cassandra Mamone. Everything about the jewellery created by the team at Cassandra Mamone is amazing!

Macauley and I recently went on a holiday to Port Douglas which is where he surprised me with the proposal. He had collected the ring from Cassandra the night before we flew out to Queensland. I had no idea he was even thinking of proposing! It was about midway through our holiday when we went to a quiet, beautiful, secluded beach at Cape Tribulation, after a short hike to get there, and this was where he got down on one knee and popped the question! It was perfect - I was in complete shock but so excited and happy! It was beautiful.
TELL US ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING! WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOU FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE?
I love knowing that Macauley worked closely with Veronica to design my ring - it is special knowing that Macauley was really involved in that process. I LOVE everything about the ring - the design, the diamonds and the perfect sparkle they produce. I cannot stop staring at it and I am literally obsessed!
DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS YET?
Not really any wedding plans yet! We are pretty busy, and in the process of building our home at the moment - but when things settle down in that area of life we will be looking into wedding plans. We are aiming for 2023 potentially, but we will see what happens!
