ENGAGEMENT FEATURE: TESS + DYLAN
How did you both meet?
We met 7 years ago when we were both working at our local Foodland. Dylan worked in the night-fill section and Tess worked on checkout.
On Valentine's Day in 2014, we worked an extra shift in the Bakery section together, as neither of us had Valentine's Day plans - that's where we properly met for the first time!
Share with us your engagement story.
Dylan: We had planned a trip to Noosa, Queensland in April 2021 with close friends of ours. I knew this was an opportunity that couldn't be missed, and managed to sneakily plan the proposal.
We began the day with an early boardwalk to Dolphins Point, a coastal lookout, where I got down on one knee and popped the question on the date of our 7 year anniversary.
Our friends helped by setting up our accomodation with rose petals and champagne when we returned to celebrate our engagement. We then spent the day celebrating on a local gin tour around the Sunshine Coast, and had dinner back at the beach in Noosa.
What drew you to Cassandra Mamone for the design of your engagement piece?
Dylan: Tess wasn't subtle in bombarding me with photos of CM engagement rings on a regular basis. It took me a while to filter through the photos, but I knew it would be something that Tess would love forever.
Tess: I originally came across Cassandra Mamone jewellery on Instagram, and instantly fell in love with the simplistic but classic designs. I knew then that I would LOVE a CM engagement ring one day.
Tell us all about the details of your ring, what was the process like for you, what are your favourite aspects of the piece?
Dylan: I was amazed at how easy Veronica made the design process. I knew that Tess loved the 'Gigi' ring design, and Veronica helped to put together the finer details of her engagement ring.
My favourite part about the ring is the classic half round polished band, and of course, that Tess loves it.
Tess: The ring was everything I wanted, and had hinted to Dylan! I'm always glancing at my ring & find it hard to look away, it's absolutely perfect.
Do you have any wedding plans yet?
Tess: Yes, we have booked a venue in Mooloolaba, Queensland for a May 2023 wedding & are so excited to plan it all.
