#SHESAIDYES: BRYA & SAM

Sam had booked in with Cassandra to create Brya's dream ring. Early this month, a walk on the beach turned into a surprise proposal. Sam got down on one knee and proposed with a stunning colourless Oval diamond set in 18ct yellow gold with an added hidden diamond halo.

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?

We went on a few dates when Sam was visiting back in Perth during his off season. I have family here in Adelaide but I was moving here to further my career, our relationship blossomed and we’ve been inseparable since.

WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR PIECE?

I’d been admiring her amazing work through our beautiful friends Bel and Robbie Gray. We also love the fact that Cassandra deals with natural diamonds which was something that we’d both discussed and wanted.

It was a beautiful Sunday, we’d been to my brothers football and Sam booked a lunch at Henley for us. We got to lunch earlier than expected so he suggested that we took Frankie for a walk along the beach. He distracted me by telling me my siblings were running towards us, so I’ve turned around to look for them, then turned back and he was down on one knee. Of course I said YES!! I just couldn’t believe it, I honestly had no idea it was coming.

TELL US ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING, WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE.

I’ve always thrown suggestions Sam’s way of what I liked and he’s obviously met and arranged it all with Cassandra. He did so well I love everything about the ring but my favourite part of it would be the halo.

DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS YET?

Looking at getting married towards the end of next year. We’ve got a few places in mind too.
