Carly and Tim's love story began in the workplace, where a chance meeting blossomed into something truly special. When Tim decided it was time to propose, he chose one of Australia's most breathtaking locations: the Bunda Cliffs on the Nullarbor. With a private picnic arranged on a perfect day, he asked Carly to marry him in a moment they describe as simple, beautiful, and utterly unforgettable.

Tim had booked in with Cassandra to design a bespoke engagement ring that would capture their love story. The result is a stunning Oval Diamond with Champagne Halo. Woven into the ring is a shared birthstone, a meaningful choice for a couple who celebrate their birthday in the same month. The design also includes a tribute to Carly's late father, making the ring deeply personal.

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?

We met in the workplace, which is where our story first began.

WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT PIECE?

What first drew us to Cassandra Mamone was actually a beautiful gift voucher that had been won at a charity event and then very strategically left around the house for me to find. It was the perfect nudge to create something really special with Cassandra and her team - and safe to say, we absolutely nailed it.

Our engagement was incredibly special. Tim proposed on the Bunda Cliffs on the Nullarbor, with a romantic picnic set up on a perfect day. It was a beautiful and unforgettable moment in a stunning part of Australia, and one we'll cherish forever.

TELL US ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING, WHAT THE PROCESS WAS LIKE FOR YOU, AND WHAT YOUR FAVOURITE PART WAS. 

Tim had a general idea of the style from pictures he had been looking at, along with a few more subtle hints strategically left around the house. But we never could have imagined just how perfectly Cassandra would bring it all together. 

She created such a thoughtful and detailed design, including our birthstone, which is especially meaningful as we share the same birthday month - as well as a very special nod to Carly's dad, who sadly passed away last year. Those personal touches made the ring even more meaningful. The whole process felt very personal and special, and seeing all of those ideas come together so beautifully was definitely our favourite part. 

DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS YET?

Yes, we do - we're planning to get married at Henley Beach, and we're very excited.
