WEDDING CELEBRATIONS: KARA & SAM

Kara & Sam celebrated their wedding at White Hill Estate in McLaren Vale with a fun, non-traditional day filled with personal touches - from a lakeside ceremony to tequila shots and a packed dancefloor. Kara’s Juliet Ring and custom contour wedding band were designed to sit perfectly together, brought to life with Jemma’s guidance. From start to finish, their journey was a true reflection of their playful, modern love story.

 

 

WHERE AND WHEN DID YOU GET MARRIED? - TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY.

We got married at White Hill Estate in McLaren Vale in front of 150 family and friends. We had a ceremony in front of the lake, with non-traditional elements such as a lucky dip for our witnesses. This was immediately followed by a grazing table, drinks and games on the lawn. The reception kicked off with Sam singing the start of our entry song (think Heath Ledger - 10 Things I Hate About You), tequila shots instead of a cake cutting and a punk band covering pop songs to start the dancefloor. 

 

 

TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING RINGS. WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU? WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE? 

My engagement ring is yellow gold and features a marquise-cut centre diamond on a crossover band with diamonds. We wanted the wedding band to fit perfectly in shape with the engagement ring, so I had this custom-made as a yellow gold band arching around the engagement ring. The entire process was enjoyable, and we had a great experience with Jemma looking after us. 

 

 

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE WEDDING DAY?

All of it! But if we had to decide, it would be when the punk band started, and the dancefloor was full!

 

 

ANY HONEYMOON PLANS?

We went to Singapore and the Maldives and had an amazing time! The Maldives were exactly like the pictures you see!
