A few days before Christmas 2022 under a special willow tree Jordan got down on one knee and proposed and Milly said "YES"!

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?
We both grew up in the little coastal town of Robe. Jordan had lived there his whole life and I moved there when I was 9. I have diary entries from 2010 saying how obsessed I was with Jordan, and he soon became my first boyfriend. We haven't been together as a couple the whole time since then, but we never left each other's side. We found ourselves back together five years ago and have been quite inseparable since.
WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT PIECE?
I was lucky enough to wear some stunning jewellery from Cassandra Mamone for the 2022 Brownlow and Adelaide Crows Best and Fairest. I absolutely fell in love with the pieces but beyond that, Jordan and I both felt so welcomed and supported by Cassandra and the team. We came straight back to Cassandra when Jordan inherited some sapphires from his Grandmother, he wanted to have some cufflinks made for the men in his family. Looking back, I just love how comfortable Jordan felt in the space during the designing of the cufflinks, it's definitely not a man's natural habitat. He must have felt great because i now know, he went back only a few days later to discuss a ring.

My grandparents live on a small farm in the UK, we spent a quick 10 days there to have Christmas with my Grandma. On the property there is a beautiful big willow tree, once you are under the willow tree you truly feel detached from everything, in your own little world, it has always been my happy place. It was a very 'us' moment under the willow tree, it was awkward, we giggled a lot, I jumped around like a two-year-old and it was perfect.
TELL US ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING, WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU, AND WHAT IS YOU FAVOURITE PART OF THE RING?
The feature stone is a very special family heirloom, an Alexandrite Australian Sapphire. Alexandrite, I have learnt, means that the sapphire changes colour in every light, which I am absolutely obsessed with. Cassandra ever so cleverly suggested trilliant diamonds on either side. A gold band, exactly how I envisioned. The ring is so unique, I love that it holds so much sentimental value, every time I look at it I think of Jordan's grandparents and mine. It is just perfect.
We are planning a summer wedding, early 2024. As long as our dog, Maggie, is there, we will be happy! I cannot wait to get back into the studio and design a wedding band with the team.DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS YET?
