Luke had booked an appointment with Cassandra in our Adelaide studio to create a forever ring for Tegan. He proposed with one of our winning pieces, the Oval Perlina Ring. Read their proposal story below.
HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?
We met through mutual friends almost 10 years ago, but didn't start dating until late 2021.
WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT PIECE?
TEGAN: I have been following Cassandra on Instagram for a while now! She designed my friend's engagement ring in 2017 (and wedding band later too) and I've been following her ever since. Her pieces are feminine and and mix modern with traditional designs, and I was drawn to her use of rose gold. I like that she's Adelaide based too.

LUKE: We were on holiday in Europe and our first stop was Switzerland to see some friends. We had one night booked at an AirBnB in Lauterbrunnen and I had seen pictures on Instagram and thought it would be a perfect place. I took the ring with. me hoping it was as beautiful as it looked on Instagram, it was if not more beautiful and I knew this was the place! I called Tegan out onto the balcony to have a look at the view, but I was waiting for her on one knee. Luckily she said yes!
TELL US ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING, WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE.
LUKE: The process was really easy, I went to choose the ring with one of Tegan's best friends - she was helpful but I think she was also looking for something for herself! I had the ring I wanted in mind already and when I saw it I knew it was the one.
TEGAN: I love everything about it! The diamond is beautiful - I catch myself staring at the sparkle constantly. And I fell for the Perlina band because it's dainty but detailed. I think it's perfect, and I've received so many compliments on it too.
