WEDDING CELEBRATIONS: DANI & JAKE

Join us in celebrating Dani and Jake's upcoming one-year wedding anniversary this December! It was an absolute pleasure creating both Dani's stunning engagement ring as well as their beautifully crafted wedding bands. As we reminisce about their special day, Dani and Jake take us on a lovely walk down memory lane. Read more about their wedding day below...

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?

We actually knew each other from Primary School in Kapunda. Jake moved back to Adelaide at the end of primary school and we then happened to run into each other many years later at Apple nightclub when we were 19. No shame in sharing, we had our first party pash on the dance floor that night at Apple! The rest is history...

WHERE AND WHEN DID YOU GET MARRIED - TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY.

We got married on the 23rd December at Le Mas Barossa. We loved our wedding date being so close to Christmas. It was a special way to kick off the festive season for our friends and Family. Le Mas is honestly the most amazing venue, it couldn't have been more perfect for us.

We brought our own events team (Out in the Paddock - the best in the bizz!!) who worked with Geraldine at Le Mas to bring both our ceremony and full alfresco reception to life. It was a dream. Really, we could rave about it for hours.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING RINGS. WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU? WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE?

Jake: I found the whole experience with Cassandra really nice and calm, especially as I was a bit nervous going in with not much clue at all!!! The space is quiet and not overwhelming and the team were always easy to contact. It's why I chose to go back for the wedding rings too. My wedding ring has a diamond of my Grandma's. It's very special and unique.

Dani: My engagement ring will forever be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Jake could not have made a better choice. It's simple and timeless, yet the setting and the sparkle of the pear diamond is truly stunning. Cassandra was very helpful when it came to choosing my wedding band. They were all beautiful and I had trouble deciding. I had to keep going back (which I secretly loved) because I couldn't decide.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE WEDDING DAY?

We loved our ceremony. Made so perfect by our celebrant, Amy Harrison. Honestly, we didn't expect it to be our favourite party of the day (we both love a party so naturally thought the reception would be the fave) but it was so much fun and emotional all at once.

ANY PARTICULAR HIGHLIGHTS?

Our daughter was 14 months old at the wedding and having her involved was definitely a highlight. She was so cute waving to everyone during the whole ceremony.

The weather was also a major highlight! It was a perfect 26 degrees and we were able to have a fully outdoor reception. So very lucky!!!

Another random highlight would have to be our late night snack after our sit down dinner. Out in the Paddock served smoked ham and Gruyére cheese toasties about 10:30pm to everyone while on the dance floor...people still rave about it to us.

WHERE DID YOU GO ON YOUR HONEYMOON?

We spent a night over New Years at Sequoia Lodge in the Adelaide Hills which was absolute luxury. Our delayed honeymoon was over the Adelaide winter, when we actually went overseas for 4 months for Jake's work. We managed to get to the UK, Spain and Italy with our daughter in tow. Some of the best times of our life for sure.
