WEDDING CELEBRATIONS: AMY & SAM
Amy and Sam’s love story began back in 2014 with a Tinder match that turned into hours of conversation on their very first date. Over a decade later, they chose to celebrate their marriage in a way that felt deeply personal and true to them.
They were married on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, in an intimate celebration at Beach Road Wines, surrounded by 35 of their closest family and friends.
We were honoured to remodel Amy’s engagement ring using cherished family heirlooms, and to create both Amy and Sam’s wedding rings - timeless, personal pieces designed to reflect their story. Read more about their special day.

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?
It was early 2014, and we met (unfortunately) on Tinder! But 11.5 years ago, Tinder was a lot different to today… You actually went on dates. My friend was playing on my account as me and swiped Sam and struck up the conversation. I continued the conversation she started when I got home, and Sam asked me on a date.
Our first date was at the no longer there Cibo’s on the Parade, and we talked for hours. So long in fact, that they packed up the whole store around us and had to end up asking us to leave. Sam went back to a mate's house and told them, “I’m in love. I called my friend on the way home and said, “ehh, not sure, but he’s tall, so that’s good. The rest is history.
WHERE & WHEN DID YOU GET MARRIED? TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY.
We got married on Tuesday, 21st October 2025 (I know, who gets married on a Tuesday!). We wanted something really small with our families and just a handful of friends. I think when you have been together so long and have children, doing the big wedding just didn’t feel right. We had 35 people in attendance.
We got married at Beach Road Wines, who were so fantastic to work with, relaxed, warm, and so welcoming.
I organised a surprise for Sam before I walked down the aisle, as a recording of our girls giving him a message. It was so special and something we can now keep forever. They are the little magic moments you get when your kids are involved.
Being October, it is a real hit and a miss with the weather… and it was a miss. We had almost 5mm of rain, and it didn’t break the whole day. So, our outside wedding turned into a beautiful ceremony under the veranda with fairy lights and a breathtaking view. Our reception moved from flowing indoor outdoor space with sprawling wine barrels, couches and lawn games to tucked up under the back pergola of the winery, but I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Just as the day wrapped up, the sun came out, and the rain stopped. We moved the celebrations to the McLaren Vale Hotel and kicked on with family and friends.
It truly was the most stress-free, relaxing day, celebrating exactly the way we wanted.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING RINGS. WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU? WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE?
My engagement ring is so beautiful, sentimental and one of a kind. It is a remodel of my Nan’s Ruby and Diamond pieces, and my late Grandma’s gold from her engagement ring (I, of course, had permission from them both). We remodelled to create something so magnificent that I still can’t believe it’s mine when I look at it every day. I also love that I see my Nan and Grandma. I have leftover gold and stones that I plan to use to create a piece for my next significant birthday. The remodelling was so easy and stress-free.
I told Cass my vision, and she actually disagreed, which I am so glad she did. She looked at my pieces and explained that remodels can give respect to the piece in place without ripping them all apart. She noted how classic and timeless the pieces were and how they were my favourite parts, and kept that for the design. This is what you get with Cassandra and why I love working with her. She listens, she respects, and she has so much knowledge. She knew when I wanted, when I couldn’t articulate it myself.
For my wedding band, I believe my words to Cassandra were “I want it to be the bride's cousin, so they are related, and she is a bridesmaid, so they match, but she isn’t the Maid of Honour. Cassandra replied, “I know exactly what you mean!” and Sam had never looked more confused. In short, I wanted a ring I can wear on its own, as my engagement ring does get knocked around with the kids, I didn’t want my wedding band to take away the thunder when I wear them together. She sketched straight away and nailed it! As weird and complicated as my description was, Cass made it so easy. I just love that my 2 pieces are truly one of a kind.
With Sam's wedding band, we really wanted something durable and light. So we went with Titanium, engraved with our wedding date. The colour is a gun metal tone which suits him perfectly, not too light or dark.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE WEDDING DAY?
My favourite part was seeing Sam's face. He was smiling ear to ear, which just made me so excited to get to him. Sam's favourite part was hearing the girls' recording, a beautiful and unforgettable surprise.
ANY PARTICULAR HIGHLIGHTS?
We stayed in an Airbnb altogether, the whole bridal party and partners. We got ready together, spent the night before together, and everything was just so relaxed. I love that we got to spend some of the most exciting moments (like the morning) and nerve-racking moments (like the night before) by each other's sides.

ANY HONEYMOON PLANS?
Unfortunately, the downside of having a wedding after kids is trying to plan a honeymoon. For the wedding, we turned it into 4 days with our bridal party and partners (kid-free) in an Airbnb, followed by a 2-night staycation in the city just Sam and I. This was perfect. Next October, we hope to get away for a proper honeymoon/family holiday.
TESTIMONIALS?
We would work with Cassandra and her team over and over again. They make you feel at home and greet you like family as soon as you step into the studio. The love, care and respect Cassandra shows when dealing with sentimental, heirloom pieces really do justice to the people you are honouring. And with that, the team now feel like family. I can’t wait to have them involved in more pieces to honour more milestones to come.

Congratulations to Amy and Sam! We were so honoured to be part of this special chapter of their journey. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter and happiness together.
