WEDDING CELEBRATIONS: DIJANA & BRIAN
Dijana and Brian, international clients from New York, chose Cassandra Mamone to create a custom bridal set that reflected Dijana's roots in Adelaide. Cassandra designed a stunning set featuring an oval-cut wrap engagement ring and a matching oval diamond wedding band. They recently tied the knot in a beautiful intimate ceremony. HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?
Brian and I met 6 years ago in Chicago where we both were living at the time.
WHERE & WHEN DID YOU GET MARRIED - TELL US ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY.
Brian and I chose to get married in New York as we currently reside in New Jersey but work in New York City. We got married on June 2, 2024 at the Serbian St Sava Church in New York and followed with a reception at Black Barn at Madison square park.
Our special day came together very quickly within 6 weeks as Dijana is expecting. We wanted to have a small wedding with close family and friends before we welcome our son to the world. We worked with a fabulous restaurant which made our day extremely special with fabulous food and drinks for our guests.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING RINGS.
Dijana wanted to have a unique engagement band and wedding band that was special in design but not overwhelming. Dijana was raised in Adelaide and wanted to have a special ring that symbolised home. Dijana didn't want to have an overwhelming ring in size as wearing jewellery day to day isn't something that Dijana would wear. Therefore Cassandra saw a design that Dijana really liked and Brian and Cassandra worked together to create the rings and band together.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE WEDDING DAY?
The whole day was magical. From getting ready with our family who either flew in from Australia or drove in from Massachusetts. To celebrating on the dance floor with our family and friends. Seeing everyone have a great time truly made the day special.
ANY HONEYMOON PLANS?
We wanted to go to Palma De Mallorca but since we are expecting we had to choose a destination closer to home. We chose to go to St Maarten in the Caribbean as it's one of our favourite islands to visit. We love the beaches on the island.

Living in the United States you have so many options in jewellers and designers. However, working with someone from Australia meant something more special since Dijana grew up in Adelaide and wanted to have a special piece with her on her big day. Cassandra worked with Brian to create a piece that is truly unique and a perfect fit. Cassandra provided insights to the design and options and the rings turned out truly fabulous.
