WEDDING FEATURE: ERIN & STEWART

We first featured lovebirds, Erin and Stewart back in June 2021 for their engagement. Steward had proposed to Erin with a stunning Pear Solitaire Ring in 18ct yellow gold. The beautiful couple recently tied the knot in February with our gorgeous South Australian landscape as the backdrop. We had the pleasure of designing Erin's beautiful engagement ring, and creating their wedding bands. Read more to hear about their special day, and see their timeless ring sets.

WHERE & WHEN DID YOU GET MARRIED - TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY?

We got married on the 19th Feb 2022, about 10 months after getting engaged - lucky for us we didn’t have to go through any postponing and covid was relatively kind to us! We had an intimate ceremony on Stew’s family farm ‘Cloverbanks’, 90 acres in Mount Torrens.
We chose a beautiful old gum tree in the middle of one of the paddocks and had 35 of our family and closest friends with us.
We then met the rest of our guests at Ambleside Gin Distillery in Hahndorf for our reception. Our dear friends own it and were so kind to let us have our wedding reception there - its a stunning venue and very special to us (and they make the most amazing Gin and Tonics of course!!).

TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING RINGS. WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU? WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE?

Stew designed my beautiful yellow gold solitaire pear engagement ring with the CM team back in early 2021 - I still find myself staring at it daily! It is just stunning, so classic and timeless. As the diamond is so flawless I knew I wanted a plain wedding band to allow the focus to remain on the stone.
I had my late father's wedding ring, a 9ct solid yellow gold band - and thought it'd be incredibly special to use that for my own wedding band. We were very close and it means so much me to be wearing my dad's wedding ring every day now.
The CM team were amazing at remodelling it to fit my tiny finger - and the rings fit perfectly together.
I trusted them wholeheartedly and I knew they'd take care of dad's ring in the process! Veronica guided Stew with her experience and he decided on a brushed white gold band which looks really understated and subtle. He hasn't taken it off since our wedding day!

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE WEDDING DAY?

From start to finish the day was a dream - I'm so blessed to have the most beautiful friends and my six bridesmaids made the morning getting ready together so much fun! But I think my favourite part was our intimate ceremony! It was so easy, so love filled and so personal- we were just laughing the whole time (laughing or crying actually!). Exchanging our own vows was so special, and I loved walking up and down the paddocks champagne in hand as we took our photos in the afternoon sun! It was just the best!

ANY PARTICULAR HIGHLIGHTS?

After mains were served, I snuck off with a few close girlfriends to get changed into a second dress. Not many people knew about this dress - but I had it custom made and it was in the works for about 6 months! It was a lot of fun surprising everyone with a second look and then having some sunset photos just Stew and I in the nearby paddocks next to Ambleside, we had to jump a fence and avoid lots of cow pats but it was worth it to have some loved up time just us two.

WHERE DID YOU GO FOR YOUR HONEYMOON?

We have just returned from 10 days in Tasmania! We took our car over and road tripped all over the state. A few bottles of champagne, countless dozens of Oysters and a few special bottles of red wine and it was the perfect honeymoon.
Thank you to Erin & Stewart for sharing their story and photos from their big day. We're feeling all the feels. We wish you both all the happiness in the world ❤️.
