ENGAGEMENT FEATURE: ERIN & SEAN

Our beautiful clients, Erin & Sean met for the first time at their best friends's housewarming party in 2017. Sean messaged Erin the next day and they've been together ever since. Back in October, Sean had planned a surprise proposal for Erin in Marion Bay. Sean proposed with our timeless Oval Elegance ring in 18ct white gold. HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?

We met in 2017. My best friend, Bec and Sean's best friend, Sam, had just bought a house and were having a housewarming party. I wasn't feeling in the mood so I wasn't going to go, but at the last minute decided that I would. Bec and I were sitting on the couch enjoying a wine when Sean walked in, opened a can of beer and spilled it on himself.

Bec and I have been friends since high school, as have Sean and Sam, but for whatever reason Sean and I had never met before that night. As soon as I saw him, I thought he was gorgeous and he made me laugh. We spent the night chatting with a group of people and I actually thought he was interested in someone else lol.

The next day Bec messaged me to tell me that he had messaged her to ask her what my name was as he'd forgot and let her know that he was keen on me. The next day he messaged me and we've been together ever since.

WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT PIECE?

I've always loved Cass's pieces and have been following her page for sometime. Bec and Sam were engaged in 2019 after Sam had the most amazing ring custom made for Bec - an Emerald cut diamond ring. So I think Sean and I both knew we'd eventually get a Cass for me too.

SHARE WITH US YOUR ENGAGEMENT STORY.

Sean planned a weekend trip away but didn't tell me where we were going. We left early in the morning and arrived at Marion Bay, where we stayed at the Hilltop Ocean Pod. It's a secluded spot with the most incredible view of a private beach. We were in our pyjamas playing Trivial Pursuit when he popped the question. I was so shocked and couldn't believe what was happening. It was low key but exactly what I wanted and the smile on his face is something I'll never forget. The next morning we took photos of the ring while the sun rose over the beach.

TELL US ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING, WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE PIECE?

My beautiful ring is the Oval Elegance ring in white gold with a knife-edge band. It is simple, classic and exactly what I wanted. I have relatively short hands and fingers so I knew I wanted something dainty that wouldn't look out of place. He did so well!

DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS YET?

We are looking at getting married early-mid 2024. I can't wait to be Mrs Bock!
