ENGAGEMENT FEATURE: GABRIELLA + MICHAEL

How did you both meet?

We met 12 years ago working part time at Woolworths. Michael worked in produce, and Gabriella in checkouts.

What drew you to Cassandra Mamone for the design of your engagement piece?

Gabriella: While looking through images of what I liked, I kept going back to the simplicity of the design of this ring, I loved it.

Michael: Gabriella dropped a few hints, and sent me a photo of exactly what she liked!

Share with us your engagement story.

After a few botched attempts, including a failed picnic due to weather and a weekend away with a cold, I decided there’s no moment like the present and surprised Gabriella when she got out of the shower. I covered our bedroom in rose petals and caught her completely off guard.

Tell us all about the details of your ring, what was the process like for you, and what are your favourite aspects of the piece?

Michael: The team made the process easy and were very helpful for a clueless person like me. I knew what Gabriella liked when I walked in, and they were able to help me through it all.

Gabriella: I love the modern twist of a flat band, mixed with a classic round diamond. It’s a timeless piece.

Do you have any wedding plans yet?

We’re going to take the wedding planning process slowly so we can enjoy it. Nothing is set at this stage but we’re looking towards the end of next year.
