Emma always knew that she wanted a Cassandra Mamone ring and had dropped many hints to Todd. Todd had came into the studio and wanting to create something unique and special for Emma as well as incorporating Emma's mum's diamonds into her forever ring. The result is a stunning custom ring with three scintillating pear diamonds.

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?

We met at work! Funnily enough I previously worked in the country where Todd was doing office visits from Adelaide. After many conversations, a drink at the local pub and a coffee we hit it off! Soon after, I returned to Adelaide to live, where we still work in the same field.

WHAT DREW YOU TO CASSANDRA MAMONE FOR THE DESIGN OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT PIECE?

I always knew that I wanted a Cassandra Mamone ring and was never shy of telling Todd! I was drawn by Cassandra’s creativity and her unique style in stacking rings. I didn’t want something that anyone else had.

It was a random Wednesday after work when Todd requested that I meet him somewhere different to their usual after work meeting spot. I didn’t think too much of it and met Todd where he said he would be. Soon after, Todd whisked me into my favourite hotel, the Mayfair where he practically got on one knee minutes after entering their room. Todd who is normally cool, calm and collected was very nervous for this moment but it was perfect because it was intimate and unpredictable for me. After the proposal we had a drink at the rooftop bar and ate dinner at our favourite Italian restaurant, Antica owned by one of Todd’s friends.

TELL US ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING, WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE.

Todd describes the process as easy, inviting and stress free especially for someone who knows nothing about jewellery let alone engagement rings! I hinted at the idea of having 3 larger diamonds and if possible, somehow incorporating my mum’s diamonds from her engagement ring. Cassandra and the team designed a beautiful and special piece, with the request of 3 diamonds as well as my mum’s! I adore this piece of jewellery now.

DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS?

We do! We will be getting married on the 3 February 2024 at the Lane Vineyard. We will be having an intimate ceremony with our immediate families and six best friends. After the ceremony, the 19 of us will be having a long lunch at the Lane. Following from this (after a very full belly of beautiful food and wine!) we will all be making our way to our party with all of our other loves ones. The party will be held at Plant 4 where 140 of our nearest and dearest will be there waiting for us.

We can’t thank Cassandra and the team for all their help, guidance and care throughout. Emma is forever receiving compliments about her ring and when she tells people it’s a Cassandra Mamone piece, most eyes light up.
