Our clients, Esther and Callum had an unforgettable boat trip. Callum dropped down on one knee and proposed to Esther with our beautiful Oval Elegance ring in Aquamarine. Esther has always loved aquamarines and had sent hints to Callum.

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?

Ahhh, our story...

One of my best friends asked Callum to be her date to our year 11 formal in 2014. Adele introduced us and it wasn't until the formal after party that Callum and I got chatting and realised we had a lot in common. Conversation was easy and we made contact on socials after the formal. We began to meet up regularly and it didn't take long for Callum to ask me to be his girlfriend, here we are 7 and a half years later!

Adele is still one of our best friends and was one of the first to hear the news of our engagement!

The day we got engaged the weather forecast was warm and calm so Callum hooked the boat on, packed a picnic and we cruised around to one of our favourite beaches with our dog, Wally. Our summer days are often spent like this so I honestly didn't suspect a thing! After Callum had been for a swim (probably to calm the nerves) we both sat on the beach for a while and before I knew it he was down on one knee and had popped the question. It was such an exciting day, we seen so many dolphins, eagle rays and even a seal - it was so memorable. The colour of the water matched my ring perfectly. It was such a thrill telling our families and friends, everyone was so excited for us and we really felt so much love. The following days (and weeks) involved lots of champagne and celebratory drinks.

TELL US ALL ABOUT THE DETAILS OF YOUR RING, WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE FOR YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE ASPECTS OF THE PIECE?

Callum's proposal was a complete surprise to me, I had absolutely no idea he was working with the CM team, boy can keep a secret! As we are currently building our first home I didn't think an engagement was on the radar for us... It really was the best surprise ever! I had dropped hints to Callum that when he was ready I would love to have an aquamarine engagement ring. I sent an Instagram post of the Aqua Oval Elegance ring to a friend one day (as girls do) and she cheekily sent it to Callum, thanks Kate! An aquamarine is so fitting for Callum & I and reflects our love for the ocean. Knowing that Callum selected my stone is so special, it is probably what I love most about the ring. Callum said Veronica made the process really easy and he did most of the consulting via email or phone calls as he works away and we live 2 hours from Adelaide.

DO YOU HAVE ANY WEDDING PLANS YET?

No wedding plans at this stage, just enjoying this time and getting our new home organised. We look forward to celebrating with our family and friends one day!
