WEDDING CELEBRATIONS: CARMEN & BENJI

Our beautiful clients Benji & Carmen recently eloped in Las Vegas, celebrating their love with 20 of their closest friends and family.

For her wedding band, Carmen chose the stunning Jolie ring in rose gold, perfectly paired with her pear halo engagement ring- a timeless combination to mark such a special moment.

HOW DID YOU BOTH MEET?

We met at Bump & Grind nightclub way back in the day (lol). We were actually friends for around six years before anything romantic happened between us. When we finally did kiss, I realised he was exactly the person I wanted to be with forever.

 

WHERE AND WHEN DID YOU GET MARRIED? TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR SPECIAL DAY. 

We were married on the 16th of December at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, USA. Benji had always dreamed of eloping so we could turn our wedding into a holiday rather than just one big day, and it ended up being the most beautiful, relaxed experience.

We were so lucky to have 20 of our closest friends and family travel all the way from Australia to celebrate with us, which made it incredibly special. After our short but sweet ceremony, we held our reception in a private room at an Italian restaurant. My best friends decorated the space, and it was absolutely stunning. We danced the night away, then went on to spend another five weeks travelling around the USA with our two daughters and some extended family.

 

TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENGAGEMENT AND WEDDING RINGS. WHAT WAS THE PROCESS LIKE AND WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT THEM?

I’d made no secret of my obsession with Cassandra’s beautiful designs, so Benji definitely understood the assignment when it came time to propose. With Cassandra’s guidance, they tweaked one of her designs to create my engagement ring. I never knew exactly what kind of ring I wanted, but the moment I saw it, it felt perfect. I don’t see many rose gold engagement rings, which makes it feel even more special to me.

When it came time to choose my wedding band, I met the lovely Jemma, who helped me “play dress-ups” on my ring finger until I found the one. I absolutely love that my band features both marquise and round diamonds; it looks so dreamy paired with my engagement ring.

 

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE PART OF THE WEDDING DAY?

Although our wedding wasn't traditional, we still included a few classic moments, including a first look. Benji seeing me in my dress for the first time from our hotel balcony overlooking Las Vegas is a moment I'll never forget. 

 

ANY STANDOUT HIGHLIGHTS?

Seeing the look on our four-year-old's face immediately after we shared our vows. She was so emotional - just like us. She'd been counting down and was beyond excited for our big day.

 

ANY HONEYMOON PLANS?

We combined our wedding and honeymoon into one unforgettable trip!
